A new piece for Chronogram Magazine, based on a lengthy article about the Libertarian Party. This is meant to show the thoughts of liberals and conservatives, and how their ideas differ and relate to one another. Focusing highly on immigration laws, gay rights, pharmaceutical pricing, gun laws, and so forth. 10 x 13" Marker
New piece in progress. A continuation of the death piece...the resurrection. The last piece was telling the story of a young boy who finds friends with the birds that surround him. "The Death" simply shows the mourning he and his fellow birds show as they discover one of their own lying motionless. This new piece, is meant to show the moving on with life, but never forgetting who makes an impact on you in your life.
Tech Confidential Magazine Cover. Illustration based on the story of offices/corporations using computer systems with too much software, which slows up their computers, and everyone gets lazy on the job. 8.5x8" Marker
Here are two members of the French Monarchy circa early 18th century. They're pieces for the Chapterhouse show in Philadelphia. Paint, Pen & Ink, Pencil Civil War portrait; Paint, Pen & Ink, Pencil
I'm horrible at updating. Been working constantly at the Philly show in January. Just did this piece for Seattle Magazine. It's based on an article about the trends of being a new mother, and how Hollywood has materialized the entire process, and how it seems necessary to buy the most expensive stuff. 5.5x4.8" Marker
This is an illustration I did based on the incident when my iBook was stolen at a coffeeshop bout a month ago. The Criminals, Clowns, Acrobats, and Cannibals are going to capture the bastard...he's in..."trouble".
I'm making alot of pieces currently to submit for judging for the Uncomissioned exhibition at the Society of Illustrators NYC, and LA. Just did this, hoping it will be accepted. Come on Jim Burke...hook me up.
These are current pieces that I'm working on for two shows in August and September. Obviously, the theme is all about the internal body, mainly focusing on the basic organs, digestive system, nervous system, respiratory system, and so forth.
This is a rather enjoyable painting I completed this week. These pink pachyderms stem in part from a famous excerpt in Jack London's John Barleycorn, but the blue mice won't be making an appearance here.
New Indypendant piece...did the sketch just waiting for approval to do the finish. It's based on this amazing article of racial profiling that apparently occurred a few blocks from my place last month. It simply features the Malcolm X Grassroots Movement being overpowered by rain clouds, (a metaphor used in the article). Will be printed on July 19th, so check it out.
Alright! Another printed job. This is just a scan of the piece, it looks much better in person, and a billion times better on the original, but hey, I can't complain too much. "The Rise and Fall of Burundi" 6"x10" Marker
This is a spread from my sketchbook. I drew it while watching the Brazil game. Thinking of making it a full finished piece. I'll keep posting the process.
